Why brushing alone isn't enough

The 30% of tooth surface you can't reach at home — and what happens there.

A toothbrush cleans roughly 70% of the tooth surface. The rest — between teeth and below the gumline — collects plaque that hardens into calculus within 24–72 hours.

Calculus can only be removed with ultrasonics. Brushing harder won't shift it; it just wears enamel and recedes the gum.

The appointment takes 40 minutes: ultrasonic scaling, Air Flow and polishing. Painless.

Hygiene twice a year is the cheapest insurance against gum disease and tooth loss.
